2020/2021 School Year

In 2021, students at Ashton Sixth celebrated their success in their A Level, vocational and technical qualifications despite unprecedented challenges and disruption due to the Covid19 crisis. Students have been awarded qualifications which reflect their hard work and will enable them to move forward confidently with their future plans.

In A Levels, 26.7% of our students achieved grades A* - A and 86.7% achieved grades A* - C. The overall pass rate was 100%.Those studying vocational qualifications were as equally impressive with 100% of students awarded a D*- D in the double BTEC award and 56.7% achieving D*- D in the triple award.

The overall pass rate of all vocational qualifications was 100%. In achieving these results, our year 13 students and Level 2 business enterprise students were successful in applying for a range of high quality destinations. 56% of our cohort secured places at university with a number moving onto leading universities such as Bristol, Manchester and University of Bath. A significant number of the remainder of our students gained places on higher level apprenticeships and the world of employment.

Rowena Hector, Head of Sixth Form, said....

I would like to congratulate all our Sixth Form students on their success. They have endured the largest disruption to education since the second world war and I am extremely proud of all that they have achieved. The outstanding teaching and learning in the sixth form and the hard work, courage and resilience from students, has produced results that have enabled all of our students to embark on their planned journey, whether this be a higher education course, an apprenticeship of full-time employment.

2021/2022 Academic year

Our sixth form students and staff are celebrating a fantastic set of results for this year's
A Level and vocational exams. Their hard work and motivation has paid off and they should be very proud of their achievements.
