Getting to our sixth form

Getting to our sixth form couldn't be easier - we are situated just a couple of miles from Bristol City Centre, on the Festival Way cycle path and with many buses stopping a short walk from our door.

Traffic can be heavy around peak times and we are within a Residents Parking Zone so we encourage either walking, cycling or using public transport to get to us.

Walking or by bike

The Festival Way cycle path / Route 33 of the Sustrans National Cycle Network runs from Bristol City Centre to Nailsea and passes our sixth form. This is largely a traffic-free route and is a shared route for pedestrians and cyclists. We have plenty of bike racks onsite for students to use, situated outside our sports centre offices, although any bikes left within our school grounds are left at your own risk.

If you are coming from other parts of Bristol and want to check which routes connect to the Festival Way, see the Sustrans website: www.sustrans.org.uk/national-cycle-network/

Travelling using public transport

The easiest way to plan your route is via the First Bus app where you can also buy tickets and see live information about where your bus is.

Alternatively you can plan your route via the Travelwest website: Travelwest.info.

There is a bus stop at the bottom of Blackmoors Lane and many routes stop here. Alternatively, you can get a bus to Ashton Gate Stadium and walk from there, under a series of underpasses.

We are close neighbours of UWE Bower Ashton so it may be useful to search bus routes serving this campus.
